Did you stick with your meal plan last week? We didn’t. Thursday and Friday I felt really sick, and wasn’t hungry at all. In fact I came home both nights and fell asleep on the couch for an hour, which is totally not like me. On Saturday, my husband fell asleep right at dinner time (working 3rd shift messes up his schedule on the weekends), so I ate a bowl of cereal.
I’m ok with not sticking to a meal plan as long as we aren’t going out to eat, or ordering in. It’s when we spend extra money to stray from our plan that I have a problem. I’m hoping this week will be a little bit better. I was able to drag my husband with me to the store this morning, so we have meals planned out with his tastes in mind. We also bought a ton of fresh fruits and veggies to have as snacks, and bring with our lunches to work.
So what’s on our meal plan this week??
Monday— Fiesta chicken and rice bake (recipe coming soon)
Tuesday-– Crock Pot Italian Beef
Wednesday— Spaghetti with turkey meatballs, salad
Thursday— Chicken burrito bowls (was on last weeks plan)
Friday— Homemade flatbread pizzas
Saturday–Sweet Hot Coriander Chicken (a new recipe for us from BHG magazine)
Sunday— Grilled chicken breasts, quinoa, steamed broccoli
