I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love strawberry lemonade. When we go out to eat, that is generally what I order to drink.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with just plain ol’ lemonade, but strawberry lemonade is better. It’s sweeter, has more flavor, and who doesn’t love strawberries anyway?
Making your own strawberry lemonade is really simple. It doesn’t require many ingredients, nor does it require a lot of time. All you need are some strawberries, lemon, sugar, and water.
**Fancy pilsner glass you just HAD to have on your wedding registry is optional.
This strawberry lemonade is the perfect drink to cool down with on those blistering hot summer days, and is easy to whip up in less than 5 minutes.
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 5 cups water
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- Juice from 6-7 lemons
- Bring sugar and 1 cup water to boil, reduce heat and simmer until sugar is dissolved (simple syrup). Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a blender, combine strawberries and lemon juice. Blend until strawberries are pureed. Add in simple syrup and blend until well combined.
- Pour mixture into a large pitcher and add remaining 4 cups of water. Stir well.
- Serve over ice.
